DJ Power Tools Vol. 1 The Low-Carb Thickburger Break

This is a beat I made with the legendary DJ Topspeed of Indianapolis, IN back in 2004. It was made to be pressed on vinyl as a track for DJ's to mix with other songs and to scratch with. Now, thanks to the advent of digital technology, anyone and their moms can slice and dice this rhythmic sample-tastic arrangement to their heart's content. BONUS: It's a wav file. Right-click this link to download it now before I change my mind and remove the link. Think of it as an early Christmas present from me to you.

This beat gets it's name from the Hardees/Carl's Jr. "Low-Carb Thickburger" Sandwich that debuted in 2004 when the low-carb diet was all the rage. It's a pretty good burger (for a national franchise), it has a lettuce wrap instead of a bun. I actually kinda want one now, but in DC there ain't too many Hardees/Carl Jr.'s around. You know, they have pretty tight tacos at Hardees too (even the hot salsa is pretty major, get about four of 'em and see), but I digress.

I thought to post this after reading this story on yahoo: http://health.yahoo.com/experts/eatthis/39713/6-worst-fast-food-burgers-...
